Understand and implement the principles of learning power
|I was fortunate to lead the programme of research and development, working closely with the University of Bristol (2003-2013), which tested and established the power and impact of ELLI (The ‘Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory’) in schools, colleges and universities in the UK, Malaysia, Australia and the Middle East.Armed with my own, first-hand accounts of how several hundred creative and imaginative practitioners have used this extraordinary self-report inventory to transform their practice and their students’ learning, I can introduce your staff to the constructs in a highly accessible way and help everyone to initiate their own process of change through learning. As with Values-based work, the day moves from inspiration towards practical application, so that a clear way forward is shared and agreed.

|A wonderful insight into potentially life-changing and career-changing ideas. Underlines the reason I became a teacher and my aspirations as a mum!Inspiring… Real impactful training, both practical and theoretical. Excellent…Stimulating and thought-provoking! I feel that as a whole staff there would be no problem with implementation. Tim is highly erudite and this course has been a pleasure and hopefully life changing. Thank you.
Teachers and participants in a learning power workshop at a new academy in East Yorkshire
Thank you so much for the Learning to Learn training day yesterday. I found the day to be interesting as well as informative. The agenda ensured that the day was fast paced, enjoyable and pertinent to each member of the staff who attended. I felt that one of the most motivating aspects… was hearing the teachers talking about learning. It is so easy to forget… Once again, thank you.
